Quick ski access: Our hotel on the Hochkönig is just 500 metres from the Aberg cable car valley station, with short distances to the nearest piste. You can even ‘ski in’ in good snow conditions. Despite the close proximity to the lift, it always remains pleasantly quiet in our hotel.
Ski depot included: Sonnenhof guests use the ski depot at the nearby ski lift and can safely store all their equipment there.
Ski school & ski hire: A top ski school and ski hire are located right at the ski lift, in close cooperation with Intersport. Our tip: book your ski equipment as soon as you have booked your apartment in Maria Alm.
Winter hikes: As well as summer hiking tours, you can also enjoy direct access to the region’s most beautiful winter hiking options from right outside the hotel.
Direct transport connections: The ski bus stop and the normal bus stop are only about 150 metres from the hotel. You get direct access with the Guest Mobility Ticket, included in the room rate.
Top infrastructure: The centre of Maria Alm is just 1 km away and can be reached in around 20 minutes on a pleasant walk away from the main road. Restaurants and shopping facilities await you there. The nearest restaurant is only 500 metres away.

The prices for our rooms and apartments depend on the type and season. You can find a detailed list in our price overview.
Your dog is welcome on enquiry. We charge EUR 25 per day for your four-legged friend (without food). One dog allowed per apartment. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the Apartment Spezial, the Apartment Rooftop or the breakfast room.
All Sonnenhof apartments are accessible by lift and have sufficient door width.
Yes, you will find plenty of free parking spaces right outside the front door. A spot in our roofed car park can be booked on request.
The nearest restaurant is only about 500 metres from the hotel. You will find further culinary options in the centre of Maria Alm, about 1 km or 20 minutes from the hotel via a quiet footpath.
The Aberg cable car valley station is only about 500 metres from the hotel. Reach the heart of the vast Hochkönig ski area in just a few minutes!
