The prices for our rooms and apartments depend on the type and season. You can find a detailed list in our price overview.

Your dog is welcome on enquiry. We charge EUR 25 per day for your four-legged friend (without food). One dog allowed per apartment. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the Apartment Spezial, the Apartment Rooftop or the breakfast room.

All Sonnenhof apartments are accessible by lift and have sufficient door width.

Yes, you will find plenty of free parking spaces right outside the front door. A spot in our roofed car park can be booked on request.

The nearest restaurant is only about 500 metres from the hotel. You will find further culinary options in the centre of Maria Alm, about 1 km or 20 minutes from the hotel via a quiet footpath.

The Aberg cable car valley station is only about 500 metres from the hotel. Reach the heart of the vast Hochkönig ski area in just a few minutes!

Our small alpine-style spa oasis is home to a Finnish panoramic sauna, several spa showers, a cosy relaxation area and a large terrace.

Yes, all guests can experience nature and tranquillity in the spa area.

Yes, rooftop wellness in Maria Alm is all about wonderful relaxation at any time of year, whether summer or winter.

For fantastic relaxation after hiking or skiing, we recommend a visit to our Finnish sauna with automated infusions. At temperatures of 80 to 90 °C, you can actively combat sore muscles.

No, there are no spa options for couples at the Sonnenhof. We recommend a visit to the HOCHKÖNIGIN day spa or the TAUERN SPA Kaprun.

No, rooftop wellness is there for everyone and is always open. Please note that the sauna is not always switched on, depending on the season and weather – just ask us.

All apartments have a balcony with a marvellous mountain view.

Yes, we recommend the Economy double rooms as rooms for single occupancy.

All apartments have their own kitchens, unlike the double rooms. Everything else depends on the layout of the accommodation.

Yes, there is one linen change per week. Further linen changes are possible on request and for a fee.

Our extensive organic breakfast can be booked in addition to the room rate. Our bread roll service is available in the early and late season when breakfast is not offered.

The minimum length of stay is two to seven nights, depending on the season. In the low and late seasons it is usually two nights, in the main season seven nights.

Yes, the Sonnenhof is perfect for families with children. Look forward to spacious family rooms and apartments as well as your own playground and football pitch in front of the building, all without traffic. Numerous other activities in Maria Alm and excursions for families with children, such as the Prinzenberg Natrun and Toni’s Almspielplatz, are in the immediate vicinity.

The Hochkönig region offers numerous adventures on the mountain and in the valley. Seamlessly connected by cable cars, you can reach the most stunning active experiences within a very short time. Hikers and mountain bikers, skiers and snowboarders, active travellers and those seeking relaxation can discover the magic of the mountains in all its beauty.

The nearest ski lift is only 500 metres away and numerous hiking trails pass right in front of the hotel. There are many other top activities in Maria Alm am Hochkönig, reachable by ski bus or public transport (the nearest bus stop is just 150 metres from the Sonnenhof) as well as by car.

We recommend the Prinzenberg Natrun, the swing park, the ball track hiking trail, Toni’s Almspielplatz, the Biberg summer toboggan run in Saalfelden and, to cool off, the public pool in Maria Alm.

The Grammlerhütte is only a 30 to 45 minute walk from the Sonnenhof. The TOM Almhütte, which is also open in summer, awaits you at the top of the cable car mountain station.

The Sonnenhof is very family-friendly at any time of year. Our quiet, secluded hotel with little traffic has its own artificial turf football pitch and a playing area with table-tennis table, trampoline and other games facilities.

You can look forward to a wide range of activities for every age group on your summer holiday in Maria Alm at the Sonnenhof. Our hotel has large rooms and large bathrooms, wide doors and its own lift in the building. Many leisure activities are possible directly from the Sonnenhof, such as hiking and walking. For excursions into the village, the nearest bus stop is just 150 metres away.

The Hochkönig region is one of the most snow-reliable regions in the province of Salzburg. There is a high probability of snow here. Skiing is therefore possible well into spring.
